It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.
I will do an mp3 file on request for short translations.

Feck, I thought twas just my computer. Breandán converted my recording into mp3 and when he sent it back to me twouldn't work. I just assumed that it was my computer's in- ability to read mp3 files. I sent Breadán a message and hopefully he'll know what do, cos he always does! :D

I think it's the original actually. If it's the use of do Lochlannaigh instead of do Lochlannachaibh you're wondering about, An t-Athair Peadar tended to avoid the dative plural on long words like that with an -aigh ending.

Your right, :oops:. Sorry for suggesting otherwise. I only went on what I seen of the source on youtube rather than going back to the source in it's entirety on the sight suggested by Matt.

Thanks a lot Bríd, An Lon Dubh, An Cionnfhaolach, everyone. I'd like to put up a reading from another paragraph a little ways down the road, after doing some more work with the other audio files and going over your recordings.

Dia daoibh go léir (I've just come back from my holidays in the South of France). I did manage to get hold of this book and very useful it is too. I see that they say that there were a set of LPs that accompanied it when it came out, so would anybody know what happened to them? Buntús Cainte was originally recorded on LP as well and they've since put the recording onto CDs that come with each volume. The other thing I'd like to ask is - are there many mistakes in it and where are they?
