Hello
I am working on a project I wish to name in Irish Gaelic. The idea is i wish to honor the materials I use with beauty in design and craft, thus the "honor with beauty" idea. I have no idea of how this would sound or the proper syntax but i wish it for a title so the less words needed the better.

Do you want a verb?

I'm wondering if the 'with' could be understood as an 'and' as in:

Onóir agus áille

...just a thought to add to the mix.

i do think that in English i am using "honor" as a verb. is there a comparative in Gaelic?

Some options:
onóraigh le háilleacht
onóraigh le háille
tabhair onóir le háilleacht/háille

onóraigh is in the dictionary as a verb. It's probably absolutely fine, but I wonder if tabhair onóir (give hono[u]r) would be more natural.

I missed the concept completely in my last post. I had it as two nouns but of course you want 'honour' as a verb. It has been given by Scooby already, so I will correct my post with the following suggestion:

Le háille tabhair onóir

I had also given 'tug' instead of 'tabhair' as a choice, but thanks to Scooby's keen eye I see this is not usable so I have deleted it.

Sorry about that.... a bit of a 'dialect thing' but I don't think I can use it 'officially'... so leave it as 'tabhair'; I'll fix the post.

I could see where you were coming from, a Bhraoin, I am forever saying tabharaigí* instead of tugaigí myself.
