Hello all, I am looking to get my first and only tattoo (probably get these all the time), and am getting my family crest (harvey), which has hung on the wall in my house since I was a child. I want to get one of two things done to it other than the crest. My first option is to put the word "persevere" on top, and "succeed" on the bottom (or if it fits, put persevere at the top and "and you will succeed" at the bottom). If anybody has any other ideas along these lines, in irish galic, i would be very interested to hear them. Thanks for your time.

Maybe: Persevere - Coinneáil ort ; You will succeed - Éireoidh leat

What about using 'Perserverance'?

In the dictionary by De Bhaldraithe, this is translated as : Buanseasmhacht

Thanks for the replies guys, if persevere can't be translated directly, then maybe never give up, or keep pushing. Another thing I have been thinking about is somEthing that has helped a lot in my transformation is "just do it"

English phrases with "just ..." as a command don't translate well into Irish, at least not as brief expressions.
