I have never been completely satisfied with terms I have heard for these. I have heard 'ceirt' as 'cloth', but also as 'rag' and cloths and rags are quite different entities. What do natives call: face cloth? tea towel? and hand towel? As for a paper towel, that will probably throw it all up in a heap altogether!

A napkin is different from the roll of paper towels. Would you use 'tuáille páipéir'? And 'face cloth'?

I'd use "rolla páipéir" but 'tuáille páipéir' is good too.
Personally I just say "facecloth" but in proper Irish éadach éadain, which is a bit of a mouthful so normally just saying "éadach" will do with all of them, in context you will know which you are referring to (clothing or rag or facecloth). And like you said yourself you can say "ceirt" - that is not as common in Conamara but we do say "ceirtín" for a bandage. In Irish words are not strictly for one usage like they might be in English.
