dia daoibh a chairde, its been a while since ive tried to properly take apart a full sentence and make sense of it, as opposed to just getting the gist, anyway, im having a tad bit of trouble with this one:

"Ba thoil liom go mbeinn mo chuma ag teacht le híomhá spreagúil na nGarbhchríoch"

im guessing a bit/parahprasing but "It would be my desire that my appearance would inspire/be inspiring to the Highlands" i left out the "ag teacht le híomhá" as thats the bit thats really bothering me more so. any thoughts?

'maith agaibh

It's not how I would phrase it, but it looks like it's meant to mean:
'It would be my desire that my appearance would be in keeping with the inspiring image of the Highlands'.

I agree, but its hard to tell when the context is missing.

go raibh maith agat a chairde, as for context (which i prob should have mentioned in the first place) its taken from an interview with the Scottish singer Julie Fowlis about her song in Gaelic for the film Brave. In the sentence previous she was talking about premier and the red carpet

It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.
I will do an mp3 file on request for short translations.
