Aontaím leat, a Red. We did a lot of beannachtaí and mallachtaí, and he had great explanations for many of the word choices. He even taught us a magical charm for curing horses and cows, with a trick knot which one ties (and "magically" unties) as part of the ritual, while reciting the charm.

"Snaidmn na péiste." It was funny...at one point there were about 15 people (some of them not even in our class) trying it. Someone quipped "when your family asked you what you learned at the DSG you can say 'I learned how to tie a knot that doesn't stay tied.'"

We also did some work on something I was asking about a while back...all the various ways in Irish to express the concepts that are covered by the English word "for" ("vote for me," "we took her for the woman of the house," etc.) and on distinguishing masculine and feminine nouns. Not to mention some folktales/legends I've never heard. It was a great weekend all together.
