I have a question. Des refers to Bláithaid's mother as something like 'stumpa breá' at about 5:14. I don't know how to spell it; does anyone know what it is?

My "specialty" is Connemara Irish, particularly Cois Fhairrge dialect, but I can also speak Ulster and Munster Irish with native-level pronunciation.
Is fearr Gaeilge ḃriste ná Béarla cliste, cinnte, aċ i ḃfad níos fearr aríst í Gaeilge ḃinn ḃeo na nGaeltaċtaí.
Gaeilge Chonnacht (GC), go háraid Gaeilge Chois Fhairrge (GCF), Gaeilic Uladh (GU), Gaelainn na Mumhan (GM), agus Gaeilge an Chaighdeáin Oifigiúil (CO).

I should have remembered such a valuable piece of vocab! Of course, if that had been accompanied, as suggested, by a picture, it might have been easier to recall. I sense a 'focal an lae' with accompanying eye candy on its way.......

It is probably only used in Conamara. And it can refer to men and women.
Obviously Des learnt it in Leitir Móir.
