Please could someone translate "My Beautiful Man" for me...I thank you from the bottom of my heart

It depends whether or not you are addressing him directly or not, if you're speaking to him directly:

A fhir/ bhuachaill álainn (my beautiful man/ boy (usually your love is referred to as "boy", "boy here doesn't neceserily )- My beautiful man"

"A fhir/ a bhuachaill is leatsa mo chroí" (My man you have/ own my heart- directly translated- my heart is with you)

"A ghrá(idh- GM/S.L) ghil (My shining/ bright love)

"A óigfhir" (My Young man- term of endearment)

"A ógánaigh mo chroí" (Young man of my heart)

"A chroí" (My heart)

When not talking directly:

M' fhear álainn

M' óigfhear

M' ógánach

Mo chroí

Wait for confirmation or further input

Punctuation correction. A space after an apostrophe or a hyphen appears to be incorrect punctuation in any dialect. (I checked in Teach Yourself Irish for Munster dialect and in Dinneen for sean-chló to confirm this.)

Apart from that, it all looks good.

A fhir álainn (or M'fhir álainn) is probably the closest, or at least the most literal.


Another possibility:

A fhir ghalánta (Addressing directly)
or
M'fhear galánta (Describing)

Typing habit, just to clear things up what if an apostrophe replaces a vowel before a consonant; is there no space between the subject and the verb then? i.e im'chónaí or im' chónaí?

So it is that should have read:

A fhir ghalánta (Addressing directly)
or
M'fhear galánta (Describing)

That's a different case. You can either write it im' chónaí, as I've seen in some songs, or just as im chónaí with no apostrophe, as you can with dod, etc. (see FGB im5)
